Refund and Return Policy

In short

Every object is made to order, so the rules are different from a stock-and-ship store. You can cancel within 24 hours of placing the order, before production starts. After that, no cancellations. We accept returns only for damaged, defective, or materially wrong objects — write to us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs. We do not accept returns for change of mind.


1. Cancellation by you

You can cancel within 24 hours of placing the order, provided production has not started. After 24 hours or once production has started — whichever is earlier — the order cannot be cancelled.

To cancel, email studio@vrittadesign.in with your order number and the subject Cancellation Request. We confirm cancellation by reply and process the refund.

Refunds for cancelled orders go back to the original payment method within 7 working days, plus your bank's posting time.

2. Cancellation by us

We may cancel an order before production starts — for suspected fraud, a pricing or description error, or an address we cannot ship to. If we cancel a paid order, you receive a full refund within 7 working days.

3. Returns — when we accept them

Returns are accepted only when:

  • The object arrives damaged in transit.
  • The object is defective in manufacturing — a defect, not a normal variation (see §3.1).
  • The object received is materially different from what was ordered — wrong colour, wrong product.

3.1 What is not a defect

Each object is finished by hand. The following are characteristic of the process and are not defects:

  • Minor variations in colour, shade, or finish between units or compared to product photography.
  • Subtle differences in dimensions within reasonable tolerance.
  • Visible texture, marks, or signature lines characteristic of the material.

4. How to make a return claim

If your order qualifies under §3:

  1. Email studio@vrittadesign.in within 48 hours of delivery, with your order number, the subject Return Claim — [Order Number], and at least three clear photographs: the issue, the full object, and the outer packaging including the courier label.
  2. We acknowledge within 48 hours and review. If we accept, we arrange a reverse pickup at our cost.
  3. The object must come back unused and in its original packaging. Damaged, used, or modified objects may be rejected.
  4. After we receive and inspect it, you get either a replacement of the same object, or a refund to the original payment method.

5. Refund timeline

Approved refunds are processed within 7 working days of receipt and inspection. Your bank or payment provider may take another 3–7 working days to post the credit.

6. Claims after 48 hours

Claims after 48 hours are accepted only at our discretion and are harder to verify because courier dispute windows have closed. Photograph the package on the day of delivery to protect your claim.

7. If your order does not arrive

If your order has not reached you within 21 working days of order confirmation (10 working days of production, 10 of transit, 1 buffer), write to studio@vrittadesign.in with the order number. We investigate with the courier and either re-ship or refund.
